I'd say that Moog had better step it up before Baloran, Jacob Brashears and anyone else takes up that Moogy polysynth gauntlet and runs to the bank with it. The demos sound a bit overdriven, but this bodes well for Baloran and more polysynths in the Moog vein to come along.

I was going to say this too, just lacking a Kaypro computer. I like the return of a big synth chassis you can put more keyboards on top of.

There is insane amount of multiturn trimpots on each voice card. Calibrating this will be nigthmare.

I love this design. Indeed kind of like the DK synergy, the keyboard is also very nice. One of the best I played on a synthesizer. Sadly the sounds were kind of a let down imo.
The River synthesizer sounds very nice though, listening the soundcloud demos now.

A reminder of the days when synthesisers looked like military hardware rather than some junk from the local ToysRUs.

The demos are awesome!

The design...not so much, my fridge looks better.

Let's hope they offer a black version with wood sides.

How much €€€€?

Don't like the appearance at all, it lacks any elegance. However, the sound is great!!
One remark: The demos sound like they're drenched in reverb. Is that an onboard effect?
Even so, I'd love to hear some dry examples as well.
Love the sound regardless.

From what I got from amazona.de is that it only had on board (Analog) Chorus and Flanger fx.

looks like a prototype, I don't think there are even any sides on this thing and the keyboard looks like a MIDI controller sat/attached underneath it, sound demos are good.

does sound nice but looks like it was made in 70's!! well cheesy... and I bet it will cost quite a lot but great to see more polys ...

for me its the Abyss next.... then maybe the shear OB module thats what I'm really hoping will get put into production...

I think Moog will eventually have to relent and do a poly, they're done everything with mono, even resurrecting their old modular stuff, but it'll cost ya!!

This thing sounds great. It's everything I hoped Abyss would be, but isn't.

The demos are a bit pomp-rock, but it's great to hear the fat sounds in a music context; Dreadbox could learn something from that.

I hate to think what River will cost, but to me this is how an analogue polysynth should sound.

It wouldn't look out of place in a 1970s power station control room. I'm sure it's given Axel Hartmann a headache.

I don't care what it looks like. Sounds, features, reliability, warranty, reputation, price, only....

What is wrong with you people? The synth looks better than most older synth nerds I've met.

Look in the mirror, then look at the synth.

I won't comment on how it sounds ... yet ...

But I like the look ... Seems like it could be refined some, though ... and the keyboard is not integrated very well into the dramatic look of the UI panel ...

Also, why do synths have to have big ugly common typefaces ... ?!?!?

The maker of this synth may or may not be aware but "The River" is brand of rock radio stations in the United States.

Lots of analog polys dropping allasudden ...

Maybe a two tier rack mount? The red and white combo would be awesome, I also like the vintage/retro leanings.

Please keep 'em coming. Let's put some "pressure" on Moog (yeah right like they care).

The $6,999.99 Memorymoog reissue is gonna be EPIC!
