I wrapped my HP in genuine aluminum foil -- that way it looks just as design savvy as a Mac and it keeps the reptilian overlords from reading my email.

BTW -- I will be releasing a custom carrying case for The Wolf. Here is a prototype I just stitched together.

And welcome back Xander.

For me I wouldn't mind putting this through my Dani Ever pedal. Percussive FUZZZZZZZZZZZ...... Madness.

The danelectro is the best £11 I ever spent for mangling percussion totally analogue too which is insane the prices they go for.

You're reading a magazine. You come across a full-page photo of a Rhythm Wolf. You show it to your husband. He likes it so much, he hangs it on your bedroom wall.

The Rhythm Wolf is sitting on a bearskin rug.

Hey Xander! Have you tried the Joyo Voodoo Octave? It's a similar concept (well, it's a Fulltone Octave clone at 1/4 the price) but it's eye-searingly green and has an evil-looking bighorn sheep skull printed on the front. I've been thinking about getting one to put on my snares for a bit of crispyness/distortion. Also, green. And horns!

I wouldn't let him. I should be enough for him.

The Terminator: [takes the phone from John and impersonates his voice to talk] I'm here, Janelle. I'm fine.
T-1000 impersonating Janelle: John, it's late, where are you?
The Terminator: [to John; normal voice] What's the dog's name?
John Connor: Max.
The Terminator: [impersonating John's voice] Hey Janelle, what's wrong with Wolfie? I can hear him barking. Is he all right?
T-1000 impersonating Janelle: Wolfie's fine, honey. Wolfie's just fine. Where are you?
The Terminator: [hangs up the phone] Your foster parents are dead. Let's go.

Got a call from my Sweetwater rep on Tuesday. They said the ETA is Sept 16. If I don't hear more of the elusive wolf before then I may have to cancel. I don't want a wolf to pull wool over my eyes or be dressed in sheep's clothing.

Endless Thread of Akaipro
(rewrote their promo list* cuz i figure stuff out by editing it endlessly)

so what Akai is offering for $199 is
  • drums (4) - kick, snare, open/closed hi-hat, metallic percussion
  • bass/lead (1) - square or sawtooth wave with filter
  • 32-step sequencer
  • 6 MPC pads (sequencing/ finger drumming)
  • custom distortion circuit (the Howl knob)
  • outputs:
    5-Pin MIDI Out/Thru
    USB MIDI
    1/8" Gate Trigger Out
    1/4" Bass Synth Out
    1/4" Main Out
  • inputs:
    5-Pin MIDI In
    USB MIDI
    1/8" Gate Trigger In
    DC power In

too bad we don't know what the thing sounds like,
cuz feature-wise it seems basic but pretty good price for $199.

*mostly pulled from akaipro's product page here... Rhythm Wolf
