Does the demo really need the backing music track through the entire video?
yeah this bothers me when demos do that too. i mean i see they're excited but meh.
i think one of the worst recent examples is DSI's p12 rack video with dave. they keep it on as he's demoing the synth, and the music wasn't coming from the synth! i mean they did that here too but as least the synth sounds a lot louder than the background demo
regardless, this sounds epic. will keep my eye on this.
ooo open source + a really nice looking start to software interfacing...this seems really cool!
Hello. I saw that my synth had been linked to on here, so I thought I'd better join!
There's a video of the Atmegatron Complete now, so you can see what the finished thing looks like:
You can hear it in action here:
I'm launching it on 3rd March 2014. The website will be updated very soon and you'll be able to pre-order it there. Or drop me an email.
In answer to some of the questions:
Yes, got a lot of stick for the backing music. I've turned it off or got it at very low level on new vids
The PCB version is half the price of the Complete one. ($208 + postage + import duty). It's not cheap making an enclosure with wooden side panels and I really didn't want to make it out of plastic.
Red and green thing. I initally wanted turquise and orange for the company colour scheme!! I felt it was important for the LED colours to match the printing, so was kinda forced into red and green. You get used to it!
The polyphonic arduino synth looks very cool. There's gonna be some pretty cool software updates for the Atmegatron too, that turn it into completely new instruments. I'm kinda keeping it under my hat for the mo. Want to focus on the monosynth software initially.
I'll stay in touch on here and any more questions, just ask!
