Juno 106 500eu?

Is an old Juno 106 worth 500eu?

(I own Moog SP, Virus TI, Evolver, Nord Lead, Korg MS20mini)
(I produce PsyTrance/ Dnb/ Dubstep)

Thanks a lot!

They go for around 700 CDN (500 euros) around here, I would pay that given its in good working order, its one of my favourites.

Yeah, 750 is quite common on Ebay. Pretty silly unless the voice chips have been replaced, because those WILL die on you.

From what I see:

Here in US 500-600 is the going price.

400 if lucky.

600-700 if you are really desperate.

Convert all that to Euros.

If the Juno 106 worth getting.....heck yeah!

Eventually save up and replace those chips with clones.

If you produce PsyTrance/Dnb/Dubstep, its not usually used for those but you can get creative..

its got a really "80s" sound, I don't hear characteristic Juno sounds in those genres usually. Look up Youtube videos and decide yourself.

Just about every other month it seems one shows up on my Craigslist for like $300-400, without voice restoration. I love the Juno 106, but I would pass at that price, unless its restored and just in fabulous shape.

Turn off the chorus and you won't sound 80's.

thats the best part though!

good point, its up to you to make it sound contemporary, when I think of those genres I think of aggressive sounds more typical of something like the Virus...

If it's been freshly restored and voice chips replaced that is a decent price.

If it's in not so good shape and needs some restoration you should try to talk the price down to $300-$400

I'd say it would be a very nice addition to the sounds you have with your current synth arsenal.

Will a Pulse 2 be a better option?
