novation sl 25 mkii or panorama nektar p1

so im looking for a proper midi controller to use with my softsynths! (u-he diva, tal u-no-lx, tetra plugse, kirnu...)

which of the two do you think could do the job better?

im using now just an akai lpk25, so getting the novation would midi controller plus keyboard in just one usb port

cant decide for myself!

Sl mkii has tons of controls. Very nice to use. Automap is pretty nice to have.

No experience with nektar. I'm sure it's nice.

The joystick on the sl mkii is worth the price of admission for me lol

If you're using Ableton you can, and should, forget Automap on the SL.
I've no experience of using the Nektar but I've got 2 SL25's (bought one, given one) which I use on pseudo-regular basis (though I'm now getting rid of them as I've got Push and a Virus key).

The SL also offers mapping to hardware (which is why I had them in the first place); so it's nice that you can expand their uses should you jump OTB ever - they also play well with Traktor so if DJ'ing is a future-thought, it might be worth considering.

Panorama looks really nice but that's all I can say on it.

Nektar is much better for soft synths . But , I sold it after one night as he Ableton integration is almost non existent .

I had the P4 an it's a much better controller than the SL MK2 I own .

Here for the gear

I use a nektar p4 and I really like it. I use it with cubase 7, and it really comes down to what daw you're using it with. If it's cubase or reason I'd say nektar, any other daw and it would be best to go with another.

The mapping for u-he diva and tal on nektar is pretty incredible. Here is a list of the pre-mapped vsti's for nektar.
