Is the Maxibrute on the way?

Saw Arturia posting on Facebook this morning - Blurred picture of a vague Minibrute shape, with the caption "Something big is coming..."

here's the link to the teaser page on the site

http://arturia.com/k4Lv1n/index.html

Poly, or Multi VCO mono?

Suppose to announce on the 25th.

Hopefully a poly, the monosynth market is getting saturated already...

If it's a mono I hope they give additional VCOs their own dedicated VCFs.

Probably a poly, though

I don't think it's a poly. The ad says "vintage sound, MODERN connectivity" , with Modern in bold. Also one of the suotes talks about how "it" plays nicely with other analog gear. Don't know what that hints to.

My guess is the multi-vco. Blurry pics, but it still looks small. Also, the quotes tend to make me think this. One of them alludes to "it" having more variation in sound than the original. There is another quote saying small and no presets. So my guess is a more capable mono. Unfortunate, because I too agree the world is "mono-saturated" right now.

OSC hopefully, with an ethernet port on the back. That'd be actually pushing the state of the art forward for a change. There's huge potential for a polysynth where you can control the voices individually using OSC and its advanced capabilities.

The Hypersynth Xenophon and now this. Geez, has NAMM just become irrelevant or what?

sounds like a "MIDIBrute" so far. I am guessing Minibrute with a proper digital control layer, based on the teaser quotes and info...

All the Origin's algos in a more compact and affordable box with a less wonky form factor. Ultranova size if I interpret the blurry stuff correctly.

hmmm.. yep, quotes say "Small"
.... and "No Presets"(Criss Cross)

could small mean no keyboard (a module?)

is it possible this is just a Module version of the Minibrute?

Think you're right.

No way it's a poly by the way it's described.

So just to speculate, maybe it's not even a module version the Brute, perhaps something smaller and simpler that could work both standalone and as an addition to the Brute, like adding an oscillator.

it's a "Micro Brute", similar to the Minibrute but with microkeys and smaller, has better USB connectivity and will work with and ship with Arturia's Analog Lab Software as a controller

The IT in bold red letters is meant to be a standout clue, I'm sure. I have no idea what IT might mean, though.

just noticed this from the teaser page

Once again Arturia has given me the best of both worlds with IT. It's blowing minds at both my recordings session and in concert. The perfect compliment to my already diverse rig.”

Roger Joseph Manning Jr
(The Moog CookBook, Jellyfish,
Imperial Drag, Beck)
best of BOTH worlds, analog synth engine from Minibrute, and MIDI VST controller for Arturias software synths. They will call it the Minibrute IT, to tie into computers I.T. Information Technology etc.

Pre Order Now and wait for delays for 6 months.Start thread about when its shipping,Have 50 pages about when its shipping and when it finally comes out a few pages on how it actually sounds and its shortcomings and it doesn't sound like a Mini Moog, and it sounds better in person than on U Tube. All U Tube demo's are aggressive sounding and would like to hear something not so aggressive on it if its possible.
