Chest rattling sub bass

when it comes to dance music my favorite sound are those electronic tracks with huge sub basses like for example this one
Mord Fustang - Lick The Rainbow - YouTube
And this one
Deadmau5 - Cthulhu Sleeps (OFFICIAL) [HD] - YouTube

unfortionatly i havent find a way to create something even similar to this when it comes to the bass part. How does these guys make their basses so powerfull? when i just layer stuff with sine waves and add a lot of gain to the sine wave it removes all the transients from other sound. in deadmau5es track it sounds like he in some way just have layered a huge sine wave and still got all the transients. Sorry if im being hard to understand but i hope some of you guys could help me find the answer on how to get those mega powerfull subbasses that still doesnt ruin the rest of the track!
