Current State of Psytrance

Today while browsing ektoplazm for some new music, I havent been on in months due to the lack of interesting music, and I immediatly found 3 albums that I liked. Even the fullon stuff is really good right now (check out this album Eternal Bliss – Full-OM - Free Download at Ektoplazm - Free Music Portal and Psytrance Netlabel)

It seems that the lighter genres are getting more melodic, but not cheesy melodic. The dark stuff is absolutely insane right now (track 4 on this album is mind blowing Fin De Los Tiempos - Free Download at Ektoplazm - Free Music Portal and Psytrance Netlabel)

Could it be that most of the big psytrance superstars stopped making psy, and now artists dont have to worry about trying to make stuff sound more accessible? This is completely different to ektoplazm's past few years, where stuff has sounded more generic and boring.
