What I probably meant was based on my own experience when I got a Morpheus Ram/ Rom card about a quarter of a century ago, that had Morpheus presets & I inserted that into my Ultraproteus .
Very few of the patches worked at all. ( because the Morpheus tone data was not there ,the card being in the Ultraproteus)
However I found that when I simply edited the blank patch tone numbers by assigning a preset tone from the Ultraproteus to the patch, ( in the first edit slots/tones 1 & 2) then it 'worked', as in all the other parameters were already there, so there were some really nice sounds with the Morpheus patch data onto the Ultraproteus tones (samples)
How to get Morpheus SysEx patches into the Ultraproteus ?
I have read that it can be done, but I cant see how though, to get them exact, without some work or conversion software, or the correct ROM samples on a card..I dont think that exists though.
The two different instruments have different sample sets, so I think the results would be similar to my results above.
Basically as you probably are aware the Morpheus has a much more synth/ synthetic sample set while the U.P. has much more real world/ orchestral instruments , but the synthesis & editing parameters are identical in both, with the U.P. having a larger sample set & much more filters.
The Ultraproteus though has plenty of raw synth waveforms/ samples in its tone bank , they are just not used in the preset patches unfortunately, but there is nothing to stop a dedicated sound designer to match the Morpheus patches more or less identically, with a fair amount of work..mainly just assigning the appropriate synth waves in the Ultraproteus to the patches after loading the Morpheus SysEx , I would say will get you close.
You could eg. just reprogram the U.P. using only synth waveforms .
