Opinion: Using a DSI Tempest as a backing drum machine to acoustic guitar?

Or similar drum machines? I know the Tempest is ideal for EDM is this combination done often? Anyone have any examples of artists doing something similar ? Also, using the factory drum samples is realistic drums a possibility with the tempest? I mean so realistic that most people will think they're real? So far the biggest 'give away' I notice with drum machines is when it goes into a fill or a roll it's usually pretty fake sounding.

If you're looking for a drum machine for realism, the Tempest is probably not for you, and a mighty expensive option at that. You'll probably want something that is sample based, coupled with a good sample set (if live performance is important), or software like BFD if you just want something very believable to record against.

There are some natural sounding drums. If I wanted something to sound live or real I wouldnt reach for the Tempest.
