Thanks. I'm actually trying to do it the way Don Solaris did it with his S950 as it looks like a better solution - plus the eBay Retroillumination method involves using the existing inverter and mine's ****ed.

I'm getting clicks from my S1000 on midi note on/off, even when the Main Volume knob is turned all the way down. I can't quite figure out how to fix the problem - it seems like it must be some kind of interference or something, but I don't know how my midi signals could be causing the issue. I suppose there might be something wrong inside the unit, but I don't understand how there could be if I still get the clicks even with main volume cranked all the way down. Any ideas?
