Eh, I dunno where the bitterness is coming from. Don't you think it's a GOOD THING that music is more accessible these days? Strangely enough I blogged about this topic just last week.. Transformation | Modular Jack

never tried it but I doubt it'd be anything special compared to Decapitator

Devil-Loc Deluxe looks interesting though

I know people like it on synths/basses. I don't really like novelty tools like this but sometimes it's interesting to hear how they effect audio.

Tried it for a bit and found it pretty underwhelming. Decapitator is the bomb though, but then again, it comes with an expensive-ass bundle so why shouldn't it be.

I wonder if the name was inspired by the Swollen Pickle though.

Dude, if "sausage fattener" can do everything you learned about dynamics and "certain things", I recommend purchasing the 2nd disc to your Hal Leornard mixing DVD. Just sayin...

BTW, I actually own the waves one knob and have used it on some Dixieland recordings I've made with kazoo, sounds good to me. Just sayin...

Balls, Every one should make music, making music is a great release, regardles to you skill... Pick up a guitar, whip out a casio or set up some drums (preferably a machine) and start making noise, lots of noise.

Dada life, just for the record are pretty amazing too, they know their sh!t!!!

I can't figure this thing out. Someone please review my steps and advise of any changes I may need to make.

1. Remove casing.
2. Insert sausage into ??? (I've tried the midi, TRS, XLR and ADAT ports on my interface)
3. Turn knobs.

See, after getting the ground meat into my interface, I can't hear or see any changes after dropping the Sausage Fattener into my track.

What am I doing wrong?

Also, my interface is now working intermittently.

Think he meant the LA-2A, you could argue it just has 1 knob as output gain doesn't really count. Wasn't too keen on the Dadalife Sausage thingy but it's foolish to discount something as crap just because it has few controls or is simple, CL1B and LA-2A/3A/1176 are all very simple compressors but some of the best and most used in software and hardware.

here it works great on some material, both mix (never used more than 15% though) and master (2-3% of fatness, color by default)

I actually wish Sausage Fattener was available AAX

it is unique.

I own lots of plugs - including Decapitator - and NONE sound like it.
