Is it easier now than before to release electronic music?

I am not talking about releases you put out on your own. Only where you submit your work to a label and they put it out.

Been out of the loop for almost 2 years now since I have been doing music for games and video during that time. I hear some are saying its easier, some say its harder.

Just curious on what you guys think. :-)

Well, I think there's more people listening to it, increasing the demand, but there's also more people doing it, increasing the supply. So

Really beats me.
I'd say it's much easier to release.
Even easier to be heard!
But a bit harder to build a fanbase.

However, it's also much cheaper and easier to advertise, build your own site, and promote.

So it's really back to ???
