Kurzweil K2000R V2?

Hi!

I've got a K2000R with the front plate label "K2000R V2".
What does the V2 version mean?

I tried to google this version, but didn't find anything meaningful.

Thanks,
j

It's just the version of the OS. There was the original Ver1, then Ver2, then the latest Ver3, and then yet another version when the latest 2000 model, the K2000VP, came out. IIRC it was 3.54 or so

Each version improved a bit on the original, with more features (for example, a multi-track sequencer, more functions, sampling and different sound sets.

You can upgrade to the latest version by buying a chip and install it / have it installed, but you (again IIRC) you need to find out which os you have (Janis or Calvin, was it??

Go to the Kurzweil site to find out more

Thanks for the quick replies!

Fortunately it already has the latest OS, but this V2 label was bugging me

Thanks again,
