Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere.

Synth1 is one of the best plugins to learn vanilla synthesis on, and it's good that I no longer have to refer the OS X people over to the demo version of Reason if they want to try some concepts.

cool. I gave up on this years ago when I switched to mac back in 08. It's nice to see some cross over.

Thanks for the heads up. I use the free VFX every once in a while and it worked just fine with synth1 although I didn't spend a ton of time with it. Somewhat of an easier solution if you use Logic, although the load time is a bit slow. (SQ8L works too!) SM Pro Audio • V-Machine Downloads •

this is my favorite vst. fast envelopes, tons of features yet extremely simple. sometimes the oscillators can sound thin but its all about how you build the sound within this tool.

Same problem here. I guess Logic users are out of luck.

There is a VST/AU wrapper that I've heard works. It seems to work in Live, but I don't have Logic to test it. In the KVR forums, they seem to be having a few issues with the <WRITE> button at the moment.

*edit*

I got it to work in GarageBand, but the<WRITE> button causes it to crash. Not ideal, but is still a beta version.

Actually the <WRITE> button is causing Live to crash too. (v 8.2.6).

Me too now, but the gui detaches from logic's au frame. Is that normal??

just tested the synth in live 8.2.6 the gui seems a little sluggish. It seems to take a second to move the mouse cursor to a new position to adjust any of the knobs... but other than that i think it sounds the same which is great!
