OB-8 - Audio Glitch A Little When Moving 2 Of The Knobs (Only When Moving Them)?

Diagnosis - Easy Fix?

I have an OB-8 and the Resonance Knob & Sustain Knob seem to have an issue. When I move them the audio drops out or glitches a little but when the control is not being moved it is fine whatever value it is at.

Could any of you experts tell me what the issue is and how to repair it? Is it just a case of a bit of loose solder?

A lot of the knobs on my OB-8 are very stiff too - so you can only turn them slowly really - are they supposed to be this way?

If I didn't repair it myself how much would I be looking at for a fix? It's in really great condition - near mint apart from this small issue.

Cheers

Agreed with above. The pots definatley would be the first suspect.

The ones on my OBXa are kinda stiff (like a Nord Lead). I like them this way. If you lift them slightly (they will lift a couple of mm's) they rotate much more freely, and don't feel so good tbh.

I wouldn't say they turn 'really' slowly, just reassuringly solid.

Well I got some Servisol and it's done the trick Brilliant!

I can't seem to lift them - the knob caps come off then. Actually some of them move really freely but others are very stiff - do you find that or are yours all of the same resistance/stiffness to turn?

My toughest to turn are the:
filter cutoff
portamento
pulse width

The rest are fine

Mine range very widely on the looseness/stiffness spectrum; but like Flat Earth, I tend to prefer to the stiffer knobs (is there a joke in there?) -- feels more solid to me...

Most of mine are tight. A couple are a little less. I too feel that they are more solid like that.

Mine gave me a blister yesterday from tweaking for an hour or so! Maybe I need to man up
