DCO's and Waveshapes

There are differences in waveshapes between synth A and B. Is there any way to shape the wave to simulate particular synthesizer sound ?

the sound is more in the filter and amp than the oscillator. there is an entire industry based on recreating waveforms, VA synths, ROMplers, and samplers.

I tried to recreate sample from SH-101 and there is comparison between SH-101 (upper waveform) and DSI Tetra (lower waveform):

On a typical monosynth or polysynth, it's not likely that you can modify the osc waveforms directly. To do that, you would need to process the raw osc waveform through something like a clipper, overdrive, log/lin waveshaper, etc. before routing the osc waveform to the filter. And hardly any monosynth or polysynth will allow you access to the waveform in this way. Exceptions would be things like semi-modular synths like an EML 101 or Arp 2600 or SEM (patch panel version), which have patch points for the osc outputs.

Note that you CAN do this kind of thing on virtual modular synths like the Nord Modular (and on a real modular, of course). I've done exactly the kind of thing you are thinking about and it can really make a difference. (And yes, messing with the filter and VCA also make a huge difference).
