Recommend me a DJ controller for browsing and 'sampling' wav files?

My workflow:
I make a drum loop, then play records over the loop, hand on the record/pitch control, listening for samples to play over the loop. When I hear something that i like on the record, I cue it back with my hand and play it over, adjusting the pitch to make it fit with the loop's tempo. I'm not scratching, just playing bits of the record over the loop.

Now that I use mainly digital files as samples, I would like to have this same workflow with a controller. Can you recommend a controller/system that would make it easy to flip through a lot of tracks and cue and back cue easily? If I could select them straight from iTunes that would be great too as thats where all the files are.

I can't use records, it's not an option as this is a portable setup.

I would prefer something thats small as I need it to be portable (not practical to carry around a 1200 to use with serato...) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
