DX9 + Microkorg = Funky Bassline

I created this bassline by processing my DX9 through my Microkorg with some filter modulated by velocity. This is why I think Yamaha should have made a DX synth that had filters and velocity.

Has anyone here else used the Microkorg this way?

Doesn't the SG/TG-77 have velocity and filters?

SY77/TG77 certainly does, 2x12db filters, which I combine into a 24db here
The sound was created by using FM to generate a sawtooth type wave, by using 2 operators, one with feedback modulating the carrier

And attached is my TX416 being run through the Andromeda's filters and VCA

I miss my TG77 - sold it recently :(
