Really great? Oh come oooon. Nerve is amazing! (for me that is )

And the sound samples that come with it are top quality.

Back on topic he's got a pretty nice and qvasi advanced setup when it comes to djing. And the fact that he made Nerve a Monome compatible layout makes me pause my thougths about building a 128 and just go for a 256.

Can't wait for a iPad layout mmmmm

it's so interesting he has to explain it.

i'm just jealous of his touchy screeny thing (lemur, is it?) and big monome.

the music perhaps?

honestly, this set up is nothing new. people have been doing this kind of thing for years and i'll say that it makes no difference to me at all. the music is the only thing that is important. i don't care at all how the guy on his laptop.hardware synth whatever is actually making the music happen.. so long as the music happens. i'm not there to look at some guy and his computers.. i'm there to get down to the tunes and listen.

the only person the 'set up' is relevant to is the person who is using it. if the person on stage or hidden away in the DJ booth is bored using his live rig then that's his problem.. not mine.

really, when it comes to electronic music in a live setting i just want to hear it and hopefully like it. i don't need to see some guy bouncing around behind an LCD or whatever. i'd rather he out of site so the night can be about the music.

there are exceptions to everything though.. matmos for example. but it's a different kind of music and different environment etc.

Ignoring the coolness of a touchscreen with a customized interface, I think you're just as well off with this as with any decent Traktor controller.

it's a slick set up no doubt but i see nothing there makes it less boring than any other set up from the listeners perspective.
