backup memory on microkorg

Been using the microkorg for a few years and I have saved many of my own patches. I am afraid the synth is gonna die on me soon and I want to know if there is a way to backup the memory and transfer the data to another microkorg.

thanks!

I do have a midi interface.

Never used the keyboard except as a stand-alone instrument.

thanks,

How can a microkorg naturally die? If you don't treat it like garbage, it should last a very long time...

Either way, the best way is to do a MIDI patch dump to your computer. They make software for it.

Use the MK patch editor, or Midi-OX or something else that can receive sysex dumps, to back up your patches.

If you're worried about your MK's memory battery dying, no need to. It uses flash storage.
