I hope it has more than 9 knobs if it's another 5 knob VA (or any other synthesis type for that matter) consider me not interested.

It's an iPad the size of a Persian rug so you can drag photorealistic, life-sized iMS20s around. heh

I'm trying to think of the connection between "9" and "Korg" and not getting far. None of the OASYS expansions had a number like that, and the only vintage machines I find are the X****1 and the 900PS. 2011 minus 9 years is 2002 and I don't remember anything specific from that year either.

Perhaps it's "just" an arranger?

I just typed 'Korg' in google images and saw this

hehheh.....no, not the Kronos

@Yoozer

I thought the '9' was part of some kind of countdown? (well, we will know if it says '8' tomorrow heh )

I'm hoping its something based on the Monotron. Thats been my only real interest in Korg lately.

The name suggests time. They've made that Microsampler thingy (knobs from Hotpoint), maybe it's a Variphrase type keyboard with a new twist.

I agree. Since they had particle forms in the teaser I bet it has a granular effect as a centerpiece as well.

I think they need a better electribe, and one closer to Elektron's MachineDrum/MonoMachine & Octotrack...

But I kind of doubt it...

Assuming that's not a count down then with the time link it could be 9 forms of synthesis in one keyboard (past and present). So we may see some hybrid of analog and digital, with wave sequencing etc.

Hope its not a new guitar tuner

I hope you're right about Korg implementing some sort of realtime timestretch technology -- everybody and their mother seems to be able to do it now.

A V-Synth alternative from them with wavesequencing and other Korg goodies could be great.

The effects section would be much better than the V-Synth's surely.

Ok... ok... ok.

The reason i've been away for quite some time is that i've been programming a bank of patches for this new baby.

Don't know how the final unit will look, but this is how the prototype looked like.

What i do know is that display will be much larger.

Sorry for the crappy phone camera:

WOW ! Thanks for the pic.

Hopefully KRONOS will sound... much, much better than their M3.

(imho) the M3 was a big flop.

I have now seen every guess from KAOS pad to OASYS replacement with KORG V Synth for good measure.

I am going with my heart and original guess

Korg Realtime Oscillator Navigation Operating System

IE a new Wavestation
