Launchpad as Monome within Live? DAW Software

Launchpad as Monome within Live?

I recently picked up a Launchpad and have been fiddling around with Nonome and MLR. Great little apps but is it possible to integrate Nonome within a Live project? I'm running Live Suite 8.1.4 with Max for Live.

Here's what I'd like to be able to do:

Load up a session in Ableton

Retain full functionality of the Launchpad (session mode, mixer mode etc)

Press one of the user buttons and have it run as Monome through MLR within Ableton with the full functionality of that too without having to switch programs.

Is it possible? If so, can someone please explain how to do it.

Thanks in advance...

Use MonomeEmu instead of Nomome/Monome Control, as it is a proper Max 4 Live device:

Then use one of the mLR builds from monome. I'm pretty sure there are Max 4 Live builds now of that too.

Easy!

Cheers mate.

That seems relatively straightforward.

One other question though: What is this 7up thing I've been reading about?

Really pleased I bought a Launchpad over an APC now. The possibilities with Max for Live seem pretty amazing.

7up is a number of applications which you can use together, with either a Monome, Launchpad, or other similar device. There's sequencers, performance modes, and a whole lot more. You'll need to run it using MonomeEmu as well, and be sure to follow the instructions carefully on 7up's website for installation.

You might also want to check out the fine collection of apps that Stretta released. He has been an exceptional contributer to the monome community:

Also, you can pay for the nativecontrol software for the Launchpad. It is new, but looks very promising and possibly worth the $32, though it looks like it takes over the Launchpad completely rather than just USER2 .

This nativekontrol thing look really nice! Anybody has any more experience with it? I just got Launchpad for Christmas, and this looks like a ticket for using it with live
