In terms of mixing, producing these are pretty good (excuse the bad youtube quality, people seem to be too dumb to upload properly):

awesome picks musically, i find shpongle's mixes lackluster though.

On a high resolution full-range system Sphongle Falls is pretty awesome in my opinion, the bass has real weight to it and it's full of larger-than-life stereo effects.

YouTube - Alec Empire : New Man (2007)

I love the grunginess of this mix, how the guitars (or distorted elements) were mixed.

Bag Raiders - Sunlight (and other tracks on that album). Incredible mix.

Freezepop - Imaginary Friends Album

Fantastic Electropop with nice sound design.

who needs dynamics - everything at 11!

this track's empty spaces are really defined by the production

Yeah i prefer Sphongle Falls to the other two. Just the whole Are You Sphongle album sounds great. The mastering is also nice and dynamic.

The Orb is pretty sick too.

not the best songs or favorites in the world by any means,,, but groundbreaking/influentual productions of their time. These mixes come through somehow on the most busted/broken/****ty car stereos.... magic... no sub needed.

Sounds tall!!! just like the KLF did with their arena tracks..

This track just has a certain compression that makes me think E-MU/Ensoniq...

So cold it's warm...

Been listening to Jennifer Lopez' 1999 album "On The 6" again, the sonics are just perfect IMO. The stuff coming out today doesn't sound half as good, it's one highly polished big studio fiesta.

Yes, she's not a good singer and the music is schmalzy pop, but the sonics are to die for.

First post!

Hey everyone, my first post, woohoo! Saw this thread and couldn't resist. Putting up my three absolute all time favorite mixes.

Absolutely has to be this particular mix of it (The one from Hatful of Hollow).

(Youtube audio doesn't do this justice at all. The true holy grail is the 7" single mix of it they released backed with Love 30.)

I just listened to this song as we tested our new PA with the manufacturer, I have to confesss that all productions I usually love sounded like crap compared to this. This is youtube compressed, but check out this production on CD with a good CD player..

Impossible to say a favourite of all time. If I had one it probably wouldnt be in EDM. So, this is my most played in the car track this week.

This isn't the style I usually listen to but when I first heard this track, everything seemed to fit so well. The mix is spot on, well defined and full, while relatively minimal if you single out all the elements... Skip to 1:50 if you want to avoid the extended intro.

Sounds very good in the club.

Uh, yeah, earlier in this thread, you already posted that you liked that song by Ministry & that song by Cypress Hill. I guess you did it again in case people didn't read it the first time? Prolly. Prolly.
