Agreed, it's almost as if they are bitcrushing the reverb on some of the orchestral hits/parts?

Virgin here - need some help

Hi -
I am pretty new to the site and tried my best to find the answer in all the posts, but hitting a brick wall. So I am throwing this one out there for some friendly assistance to get my answer:

I have a lot of old ADAT recordings that I would love to import into my protools to do some editing, expansion, ect...

I'm using an Mbox 2 as interface, so no 'lightpipe' capability. I basically want to bring the original 8 tracks of ADAT from my compositions into Protools and am looking for 'cheap' way to get it done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What mixing console is that ? in the video. The video talked a little about sound design & did not answer anything that my original question asked.

You should ask this question as a new topic instead of hi-jacking this thread. I am sure you will get some responses, including mine. heh

To the OP, where you been?

Hard to say if this was used in Tron as the timing of delivery was towards the finish of the movie (from what I remember). But, Daft Punk obviously like Modcan and it seems logical that they already had some modular kit before ordering something this large.

Behold. The Daft Punk Modular.

One thing they didn't use was Spectrum 2. Pity as the UI looks like a scene from Tron Legacy, have a look below:

What I've Heard...

I've heard a rumor floating around that Daft Punk used REAPER for their arrangements... I can't verify this though.

REAPER | Audio Production Without Limits

BUT I do know that they used a VST plugin called Grossbeat for sure (the guy who created it realized they used some of the default settings!)
