Question about Ableton for live performance

How are you guys who use Ableton Live switching from song to song during live performance on stage?

In other words - you're probably not stopping one song, going to your mouse, closing the song, opening the next song, and then starting that next song.

So - how are you doing it? Is everything just set up in a ton of scenes (assuming your doing 10-14 songs in a set if not more)?

thanks. i'm thinking about getting ableton, but have a few questions about it before i dive in.

I use arrange view and place my audio/MIDI/video tracks on the timeline. I then use TouchOSC to trigger the markers at the beginning of each song from my iphone4. Tom Casm's way of doing it has the limitation of killing Ableton's video track. Plus, I can do anything he is doing with MIDI program changes of my synths and a MIDI foot controller if I wanted too. Tom's way is far too hands on for me, I need to be able to sing and play my guitar and synths as well.

To each their own.

Here for the gear

I actually use Live and Serato at the same time, I have my arrangements in Live that I assign all my pads to via MIDI assign and then, have a pad sound or beat that I scratch in on Serato and while it builds, I reload the next Live session and launch back into Live.
I use the Rane TTM57 as seratos soundcard and a Motu ultralite as Lives.
Been workin for me like this for a few years.
If you have any other questions, Im happy to explain in more detail.
Bless up
D

yes in one session i play 15 tracks. i use 8 channel of audio and 1 midi. you can write meter and tempo information at master section and when you press the master play of that scene tempo and meter changes automaticly i love that option...
