TB 303 Love aka 3 x 303+606

Andreas Tillander aka Mokira (aka Repeatle on youtube) has some awesome vids up. In this one he shows some love for the 303 on a more mellow tip. This is quite recent so I thought I should share. heh

I was expecting alot more from 3 303's. Like some serious acid. And yet, he did make it almost like another synth, and one you wouldn't guess 303 if you were blindfolded. I almost want to say some effects were used, but that might be a audio illusion done intentionally. I didn't even really hear the 606 in there, and even if I did, was probably set to it's lowest BPM to sync the 3 303's to. It was also a little dark, but maybe that's it's charm to it as well.

But seriously, he ought to make it the really crazy acid house we all know and love, because why even have 3 of them without going all the way with them?

That was great! This is similar to something i started a few months ago but never finished. Slow, deep Acid Dub. I'd love to see more of this. I'll have to dig this project idea back out in a bit i think.

I think the "effects" might be him setting different times on the envelops thus creating some slight delays. I don't think he does crazy acid house or not that I am aware of anyway.

Why have 3 303's? Why not? Some guys have 3 sports cars, its not like you can drive 3 sports cars at the same time, but you can play 3 303's! heh

Oh damn it! It could have been your video I was posting! Maybe that will teach you to complete your projects! heh

Glad you liked it. I really like that kind of use of a 303. It has a real electric elastic bubbling burping funkyness. Its a direction that not many go. Dubtribe Sound System used to do something like this like. Gradually building the tempo to crazy acid land and then drop it back down and start over again. Good shows in their time. Heard they retired....

Now get back to work on that dubby acid project you were talking about cause I want to hear more of this type of stuff.. heh

I like it!

This is slathered in vintage delay... don't see how this isn't obvious from the very beginning.

If you check out his other vids, you will see that he has an arsenal of tape echos and whatnot.

YouTube - Andreas Tilliander - Bonnadub

Also, I think it's safe to say he's an acid fanatic. I think you have to be seriously geekin out to do a video comparo of 303 Revo XOX ABL etc.

Hello.

Gearslutz recommended this thread when I posted my new clip.
Dubtek71, thanks a lot for posting my previous video!

Here's a new one, AND NO IT'S NOT ACID HOUSE. It's barely even music.

Really? Then you won't have any problem posting up a link to your discogs to show us just how talented you are.

i like this sort of thing, slow ambient acid of some kind; there is totally echo and reverb going on in there, definitely not dry at all, can barely hear that quiet 606 kick, i do like this quite a bit though, great chill out room stuff, have him hangout there doing this for an hour and it's a great pass out chill out set

a buddy that used to go by p.o.p. (prophecy of panic), brian scroggins was his name (rip), well he'd do a live pa now and then around los angeles area with a modified 606 and 3 303s as well as a few other odds and ends, it was more hard acid style, imho a lot can be done with more than 1 acid box at your disposal

I was just asked to release some work on cassette.
In the train some bloke had a cassette shaped iPhone cover.
It's cyclic man, telling you, hoard those atari's

nice tracks. I wonder it would the same if one 303 was overdubbed?

Here's another video. This time with some MC-202's as well.

This track was also remixed by Morphosis and released as a vinyl yesterday.

Album with nothing but 202/303/606/707/808 out in february 2013.

Awesome.
Would definitely buy this as an album. Really good mellow vibe but still funky 303.

This is a good alternative to the ultra busy/fast squelched 303 you usually hear.
