In a SHOCKING!!!!!!! turn of events I just bought a Waldorf Q rack and a Nord Rack 3 lol.

What do you guys think of those 2 synths?

I will try those out and see what I think.

I still want 1 of the other 3 synths also. I am looking at the tetra right now also.

I am really trying to like the tetra but its not doing it for me.I did atleast like the sound of the moog SP instantly from the demos and links.

So what would you guys rather own a tetra or moog SP?They are the same price.

well since you took care of polyphony with waldorf q and nord 3.. id go with the monophonic moog SP over tetra, without doubt. better and more flexible filter ime. LP/SP aint the most alive analog i ever heard, but definitely livelier and thicker sounding than any of the DSI machines.

PS if you like pads, and especially analog pads, you owe it to yourself to tryout old Roland MKS-70. do a search on GS about it.. its one of best deals out there when considering sonics vs. price.

for monosynth you may want to broaden your research and look at non moog/DSI stuff like SE, vermona, doepfer, the new SEM, analogue solutions, etc.

if i were in a market for a rackmount mono, i'd definitely go for the new SEM

vintage analogue sound
raw, raw, raw
multimode filters
2 envelopes
patching
etc.
but most of all THE SOUND

if you want smoother new analogue sound then go for moog/DSI
