Muse Research Receptor 2

Hi Everyone.
Tried to search but apparently we don't have much of an info on this one here.
Was thinking about my Xmas present lately. I have considered Yamaha ToneRack + Virus Snow but lately got stuck into digging up info about Muse Receptor 2.
Now, they all seems in a pretty much same price range. I don't want to make this thread Hardware Vs Software type of thread.
What I want to know is what is the real difference between Receptor 1 and 2?
How many outputs (virtual or real) can I have?
Is integration with DAW as promised by manufacturer - seamless?
What about wacky software ( I knooow )?
And the daddy of them all - which would you pick? (Receptor or ToneRack+Virus?)

What I'm looking for is an ultimate sound source. I'm working with all sorts of music (RnB today, Prog Rock tomorrow, Radio ads and shows on a weekend). My set-up is based around MBP 2.2 C2D. It was getting there till lately but some of my mates has this electronic drum kit which has absolutely terrible sound module (which can not be updated) but my mate is an awsome drummer. So I downloaded BFD2 for him to jam with and also some grand pianos and now when I'm trying to mix it all...it's just getting too much for this poor old MBP chap. heh
P.S.: By the way, if anybody has or used one, how does it serves as external DSP? I mean can I really say load BFD2 and throw some Waves goodness on top of the individual outputs of BFD2 INSIDE receptor so I can just have nice sound coming via FW without a need to do anything to it inside my DAW?

Thanks for all your future replies. As usual any help will be much appreciated. If I'll buy the wrong thing becouse of your advice, I'll find where you live and come see you next Christmass, so no pressure.
