Can't get sustain pedal to work in K4!?

Can anyone ever so kindly please tell me the secret to getting a Roland A-33 controllers sustain pedal to work within kontakt 4 ?

Only need it for pianos really but boy do I need it and seems to be some odd issue with this older Roland controller ?

Much much thanks for any help.

I just connected a cheap millenium leadfoot pedal that i recieved earlier this week to my m-audio axiom 61 and tried a pianopatch in kontakt4 standalone. Worked fine just had to switch the polarity of the pedal itself.

If you activate the pedal in a sequencer of your choice, do you notice midi activity?
Does t he A-33 got any indicator for midi activity perhaps?
Just asking so you can exclude a bad pedal and go on to why the A-33 ain't forwarding the controller information.

Thanks for that.

Finally figured out that surprisingly it's seemingly a bum sustain Pedal.
No midi activity with it so hooked up a volume pedal to the sustain in and when you turn up the volume knob it sustained the piano notes fine.

Seems to be the issue. I'll replace and see.
