Yah, the mQ PSU is just a laptop PSU ziptied to the chassis. I made a thread when mine died: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/elec...board-psu.html

Good to know! Thanks.

Here for the gear

Got a Micro Q last night! Its on its way!!!

I am really interested on the posted demo but video does not work. Anyone with new link to it?

I feel I will love my MQ : )

When they were available new, I bought a MicroQ. Went back and returned it for a Q right away.
The Q just sounds much better.
That said, if you like to program new sounds, there's still not much out there that can top a MicroQ.

IMHO, the uQ is the weakest offering from the Q, uQ, Blofeld lineage.
I had a uQ keyboard but I did not like the fact that the mod matrix
was never finished: thinks like release velocity did not work in the matrix,
nor did the M1S, M2S, M1F, M2F work at all.

These all works, AFAIK, on the Q and the Blofeld.

Sure, if you don't need the mod matrix, I am sure it is fine for some,
but for me, it is all about the mod matrix.

I've just picked up a micro q , when turned on it crackeled , pops and generally doesn't sound right.
It seems ok after a little while.

Anyone had this experience ?
I've tried all the tests and clock rese , everything was fine.
Should it need to warm up ?

Thanks.

You should open it up and carefully re seat any ribbon cables you find inside. If problem still persist, you will have to send it to a technician. Could be PSU related issue.
