Voyager expanded with sem pro ?

Anyone done it ?
Easily navigated ?
Good results ?
How practically do you link them and expand the voyager ?
What advantages are offered by the pairing ?

I just bought the cp251 and the vx351, so that's the first step towards connectivity..

you can start by running midi from the voyager to the SEM for that 70s huge lead sound

That is one combination I would like to have too.

If you do get it, let me know how it turns out!

I don't think they were made for that to begin with.

yeah the original SEM was pretty much a minimoog expander. the original minimoog had to be modified to drive it though
when i got my mini, it came with an SEM free! It had a modification for pitch CV out of the mini and a couple cables to connect the 2 and get a huge sound. I ended up never really using the SEM after I got a bunch of modular gear, so I traded it towards an 808 which I use almost every day.

but together they sound huge, and with the CV inputs and outputs of both the new SEM pro and the expanded mini, you can go so much further that just 1 huge voice with all the VCOs stacked up. That'll be a nice rig for sure. makes more sense to me than the original mini with original SEM. YMMV

This is a great idea.

I ordered a FutureRetro XS before the new SEMs were announced, and it's still hard for me to say which would have been a better choice. They're both awesome, and both expand well/sound good.
