MIC100, 1201, Ineko and Bitrman - what else do you need?

Cheers,

I definitely got it as a character piece, I just love dirty reverbs.

I still haven't gotten the chance to really put the 1202 through it's paces, but so far I've found that it sounds great on Prophet pads and is amazing on slow lead guitar parts.

Not joking: I love those long, unreal reverbs for electronic sounds...

Great buy. The JP-8000 is capable of covering a lot of territory and has a great oscillator section. Not everything is **** only because it doesn't sound like a JP-8 or whatever the reference measure of the day might be.

Mine has been hiding under the bed since the CS-5, Polysix & JX-3P came to town. He won't come out.

I owned JP-8080 for 8 months. That was enough time to get enough of its sound. Quite annoying was the filter clipping bug. Most important the sound itself wasn't any different from VSTi's which is why i dumped it.

Was just reading your piece on Sealed deep synthesis page on the 8080 recently, and saw you mention the filter clipping.

Interesting. Is it audiably that noticable? I didn't actually notice it on the SH-201.
, maybe they rectified the problem?

Yes, that bug is fixed on the SH-201. The filter still steps, though, but to me it's not a big deal because I don't pretend it's an analog...

Clav, how much was the JP? You said it was cheeep. Was it cheeeper than my 201?

Oh and I still hate you for having a Trident now.

That's cool! thumbsup

Will you use it with Cubase? I plan to buy a Mac but I want to be 200% that it will work flawlessly with Cubase 5 and Fireface 800

Not sure! This is my first Mac, so I may give Logic a chance. I've been using Cubase on Windows for ages though. Never did like any of the other DAWs, but I hear that the guy who originally made Cubase is also the brains behind Logic, so that intrigues me.

If you want the Cubase heads try Studio One.

one question: is the SSD a marked improvement?
