New songs & the album progresses...

my newest, called Breathing Machinery:

Korg Oasys is Piano and Wave Sequencing, NI's Absynth 4 does Weird Pads and, except for some clickety bits from Digidesign's "Boom", all the Drum Sounds and Rhythm Beds were done in Absynth 4 as well. Vox is me thru a BLUE Blueberry mic.

As a side note, because they had to be imported into the new DAW, I had to (again!) remix Luna and Subterranean Bathers completely from scratch. This time I put less FX on the vocals and brought them up a bit as people were saying they were still too low:

The Nord Stage is on "distorted lead", Nord Wave on "grungy Santur" and Oasys on drums and "ambiance". The vox is all me through an Oktava MK012 with a RTT M3 "Lomo" head.

Nord Stage is piano, weird pads are the Ensoniq VFX and eveything else is Oasys. Vocals are me through a Shinybox 23 Ribbon w/ Cinemag transformer upgrade and the aforementioned M3/MK012 combo.

My other recent tunes, No Time and The Face of Strangeness will get the same attention very soon.

I've got a weird cover of "Across The Universe" in the wings, waiting for vocals...

This new album has turned into a lot more work than expected...mainly from switching DAWs in the middle of the project (not by choice). I'll post soon about the insanity of setting up the new DAW and the consequences of my "going native" in the near future...Herculean feats indeed...or maybe just boneheaded.

The CD front cover artwork is pretty much finalized and is a modification of a pen-and-ink drawing of mine:

As mentioned, here is the final mix of No Time:

After finishing the mix of The Face of Strangeness, I'll be back on track with new songs. I'm shooting for a January CD release.
