I know you feel like you wake up in heaven every day.

I have the:
S-950,SP1200,MPC2000XL,MPC4000,and the MPC2500
I want the TR-808,909 and the TB303. Im looking for them as we speak, I wonder how the Acidlab stuff really sounds. If they sound as good i will settle for the clones for now.

elektron machinedrum sps-1 mkI
akai mpc2000xl
jomox mbase01

mfb522 or vermona drm mkIII on my wishlist

I've tended to spend too much time on going thru thousands of samples, organizing, searching, editing and finetuning. I still load the occasional sample on my mpc - used as my master clock for all my midi gear - but the machinedrum has definitely brought some fresh air to my workflow.

Roland 707,808,909, Novation Drumstation, Korg ES-1

would like a 727 and 606 but they're WAY overpriced these days

Only have a well-used SR16, but with an ASR10 its all i need- i like the variety, layering of samples and if i want to 'electro' them up, just add comp, some EQ, filter or transpose up or down...
got some weird sounds when it was laid up at my bro's for a year or so? i thought he mighta spilled beer on it or something, must have been a weak battery- got some samples of the pffzzzzt circuit-bend-type noises it was putting out for awhile tho, heh.

TR-505: cheap and great, can sound way better than any free 505 samples I've found. Very limited, though - but then so is the 909.

SP 1200: makes almost everything you sample sound great, if you like the dirty, warm and PUNCHY tone. Amazing low-pass filter.

Jomox MBase: only kicks but very versatile, use it raw or route it where ever you can imagine, old analogue desk, tape, the SP 1200 (check out the Goldbaby samples!).

I only need to add an analogue drum machine, like an MFB and I've got all I need.

not really a drum machine, but I always use it for drums in tandem with the RS.

used to have a tr606 now a yamaha ry20 and rm1x

i picked up the ry20 for a toy to mess around with and to trigger samples but im quite taken with the way the patterns are set up. each pattern has an A section, B section, an "intro" section that plays once then shifts to the A section, an "end" section, and 2 fill sections that cut the current pattern, play through and then shift back to either the A or B section always hitting the downbeat in time. im not explaining it very well but its really cool for jamming. anyone know of other drum machines that work the same way?

MPC2000XL with 13.256 one-shot samples from various drummachines.

I had a 707 and a 626 and liked both a lot, but I sampled them carefully using neutral settings and a short recording chain with high resolution. I A/B'd them and couldn't find a big difference, except the MPC having a much versatile sequencer, so I sold the TR's.

Would love to have a 909 at some point
