I cant make it work...after waiting like 8 hours to get it and downloading divX as a plug in for quicktime I can see the video....but no sound .
has anyone been able to watch this on the mac?
I use quicktime pro, downloaded divX, quiktime opens it, no sound though. DivX says its corrupt and can not open it.
Im on macbook pro C2D osx10.4.10.
Anyone can upload it to .mac to share?
Thank you

  • I understand English is not andivax's first language

Can anybody put subtitles on this video for Andivax so he can sell the video?

I don't want this to get personal at all, but does anybody else have a hard time understanding some of the lingo?

Ok, I'm from the south, so I know I'm hard to understand, so Andrey and me have something in common. Maybe.

Otherwise, just great. This video almost makes me want to tear up now. Thanks andivax.
Hopefully someone can get english subtitles and an english speaking person to present the most crucial points. Could also be in an interview format so Andy still speaks on the video. Best Mixing tutorial I've seen to date, of any kind. And especially great for dance producers. I've seen at least 20 different mixing videos. This is the best yet!

Well Done!!!!!!

Great job Andi!

Despite what some have said, your English is fine. This really is Mix It Like A Record for dance music.!!!!

Also, I had never heard of Smartelectronix.com so thanks for pimping them, it looks like there are some serious plugs there that I can't wait to try out.

Best wishes from Canada.

Yesterday: 8 hours of downloading, received only 578 Mb in total, impossible to view in VLC or any other program for that matter.

Today: 5 hour download, only 265 Mb received

Anyone who has a clue why?

Probably the connection is interrupted and the download won't resumed.
You might try a download manager (e.g. downthemall for firefox) or the torrent.

@ Andi Vax: Great job! thumbsup
I havn't seen it completly yet, but as far as I did I hadn't any problems with the English.

I've only watched the first third but really like it so far. I had no problem with understanding Andi's English & sort of enjoyed the Borat factor that comes with it. Very good stuff, what I have seen so far, completly different process & types of tools to what I use but there are good learnings in most sections :J

ps anyone struggling with download use the torrent link, that sorted it for me

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent

You basically need to download and install a bit torrent client, after that you can use the link on the first page to download the video (and this worked for me, whereas I couldnt get the full download on several attempts from Andi's site)

Thanks Daddy No, I actually downloaded the video in my second attempt from the mirror so I didn't need the torrent but now I know, thanks again.

For people having problems downloading it try it with this, it helps speed it up considerably:

Internet Download Manager: the fastest download accelerator

Thanks Andi for a great video, i wish something like this existed when i had first started out. Still managed to learn a few neat tricks though!

If you manage to get english subtitles, it would be even better!

THANK YOU!

This is brilliant! For electronic music this is the best! I have seen MILAR, and bought Mixing And Mastering With Waves, and this is better.

I dowloaded from the mirror site 1st time in less than 45 mins... bad luck all people with lame internet providers Go with the torrent... its well worth any wait.

I have learnt some great new tricks. Upon seeing the spectrum analysis tool of ozone in the video, i found this free tool:

VertexDSP - MultiInspectorFree

you can now view 4 tracks spectrum's at once and see at once what is conflicting... something i didn't think could be done in cubase!

also, as feautured in the video, here is the free s(M)exoscope:

Bram.Smartelectronix.Com

my faith in people is restored of late. thanks again! you have inspired me to try and help other people like you have helped me

Brilliant. Simply brilliant. I like your style of explaining things

This here will help many people.. My native language isn't english nor russian so I was having a little trouble understanding ur accent, but it is understandable, dont worry . Subtitles would have been nice though..

I tend to love people who love to help people out.. especially when they do it in such an excellent way!

Good job! Keep at it!

And lastly I would like to welcome myself to this forum.. Thankz everyone
