first post =)

Hello all,

I have been reading these forums for about a week. I must say great forums.

I am posting because I took the plunge and decided to go for a dotcom entry synth =).

First a little background on me.

17 years as the bassplayer dude with the pint in his hand (punk and sleazy rock).
95 built fist computer out of roomates spare parts,
bought a radio shack moog.
2000 got into midi via yamaha CS1x (pawnshop $125) and DAW software.
also moved to coastal small town and gave up the rock band thing.
2005 started to dream of analog heaven via modular.

currant gear: (functional abet meager by these forums lol)

synths:

novation nova laptop expanded
yamaha CS1x
yamaha CS6r
korg ER-1
korg EA-1 AmkII
novation Xstation 25

guitar****e:

92 tobias 5string black
fender geddy lee jazz
gothic SG american made
sans amp RBI
sovtek bassov blues mig-50 tube head
digitech GNX4
BBE 482i

computers:
desktop 3gig chip 2 gigs ram PC
laptop 3.4 gig chip 2 gigs ram PC
Sonar 6 pro on bolth
midiman 2x2
Aardvark Q-10 (although drivers suck it only has 6 ins insted of 8 unless I reinstall windows =( ) but actually is rock solid otherwise.

softsynths:

FM8
reaktor 5
absynth 3 & 4
minimoog v
modular V
arp 2600
battery 3 with a 1500+ classic drum machine sample set
reason 3 & rebirth
soundforge 8

and a EMX 512 sc to power it all for solo live or for my monitors

I am building a entry lvl dotcom modular with the cabinet upgrade.
the goal is to have a 66 space system over the next year.

Ever since my days or making spaceships fly around with the realistic moog, I have been changed. I am a knob tweeker now and there is no going back. Yes mono is a hurdle, but the purity and depth of tone cant be denied.

anyways I know i am going to have alot of questions and this seems to be the place.
