How do I randomise cymbals pitch in Stylus?

Hi guys

I have these ride type cymbals following the kick drum. Two things:

1. How do you tell Stylus to not cut off the previous cymbal hit when the next one comes along? I know the thing can do it, as the handclap I'm working with now doesn't get cut off, but the difference is eluding me.

2. How do I set up slight random differences in the cymbals pitch for variation? i used to be able to do it on my Ensoniq keyboard years ago, but how do I do it in Stylus?

Cheers
