So what's giving YOU gas?

Admittedly, I am having a fit of retro nostalgia but next up for me will be an assuredly overpriced TB 303 and a Roland SH 101. The hunt begins.

So what's giving you guys GAS at the moment?

I'm nuts about this American G&L Legacy. its so weird, I've never liked strats... but the G&Ls put Fenders to shame.

other than that... I've been home brewing amps and preamps to give me something to do with my free time other than lusting after expensive gear.

Edit: opps, didnt realize this was electronic music production.

Guess I should've spelled it g.a.s. to help out the newbies and avoid the inevitable toilet humor!

you know there was also a software version, with a small diamond shaped controller?
for way less €€€! The keyboard looks nice though. Also less dependency on current computer cycles.
also something weird went on just before the company folded. I didn't really looked into it, but i doubt you can find support.

oh, eh gas?
you mean G.A.S.?
aah

mmm
cwejman modules (inevitable)
8 core calculator (need it)
a bugfree sequencer also midi capable (that was a weird logic weekend LOL)
a pair of Beyerdynamic M930 mics (very likely)
big ATCs (totally unattainable goal right now )

eeh
maybe a radical technologies spectralis?
or the prophet? can't say the samples smashed my frontal lobe, but since when do demos matter

i know about the software version, never heard it before tho ... the keyboard is realy nice but hard to find and probobly some serious $$$ ... but it should be diffrent, spacey evolving fx sounds, fits me needs ...

found some sounds here : Aliens-Project - Hartmann Neuron

Maybe these will help:

All your music's gonna get ripped and illegally downloaded anyway so mp3 demos gotta count for something!

More vintage Buchla 200 modules.
I've always wanted an Sci P5.
Not much else synthwise.
I'm in the market for a few 500 series modules (Api), so I'm interested in the Chandler Germanium mic/pre's.

I'm interested in the Telefunken (USA) AK47 mics.

I'm always interested in drums (new, used, or vintage).

I'd love more vintage Helios bits.......if only I could afford them.

I'm almost done with this new project studio I have in the works so not much. Just a Novation Bass Station or a Waldorf Pulse and a couple small odds and ends to finish things up.

I am also getting into a guitar for the first time ever (been doing the audio and synth thing for 10 years, I figured it's time =). So I am just doing some reading up on what I should get to noodle around with. Can anyone recommend a cheap guitar just to mess around with and possibly record some samples. Nothing crazy as it won't be used much at all.

PhatSpace bundle from Camel Audio.
Another Creamware card.
Allen & Heath analog filter.
Midi controller from Novation.
Phaser, echo and filter boxes from Analogue Systems. You know, the cute, little cherry tree ones, with one or two units in them?

Right now, I can afford the Camel bundle. In 6 months, maybe a Creamware card. The rest? Er, when I get a job...

Some form of console..
At the moment I'm stuck between getting a Toft ATB 24 TRK or an AMS/Neve 8816 summing mixer.
I love the idea of having my fingers on faders.. Would like to imagine in the next few years I could get something like a Neve 5088 or even the new API 1608 console. That's the dream anywayz..
