“Brand new hardware with much more powerful dsp, upgraded switches and encoders, new low profile sexy aluminum enclosure, different internal architecture and updated algorithms. Everything has been re-done from scratch. It is also USB powered and the output can drive a pair of headphones.“
Sounds great, and I'm excited for all the new features! FM, drive, and reverb would be enough to make me excited, but add bitimbrality on top of that, and you've got a winning combo.
I am noticing that I'll need some adapters for my setup if I get one. I can't find a good shot of the back, but it looks like MIDI In is a single 3.5mm jack (probably same TRS config as Arturia stuff?), and audio out is a single stereo headphone jack.
P.S. That single audio out had me worried at first...but I believe it a TRS stereo out, correct? The demo shows quite a bit
of stereo spread on several patches. Cheers.
P.S.S. EDIT....just checked out the manual. It is a 3.5mm TRS stereo jack (Y-cable required). No worries at all. Cheers.

a few months ago, I had a few hundred dollars in my pocket and looked at the MM site, and saw that the MM was discontinued and the MM2 was on its way. I contemplated, and being impatient, I bought a used MM. Now that the MM2 is out, I'm very glad about my choice. MIDI on mini jack is a 100% deal killer for me. mini jack for audio out isn't a 100% deal killer, but really turns me off. c'est la vie. I hope others aren't as put off as me, but this one is off my list.
Hey EvilDragon...are you gonna swap your original MM for a MM2? It looks (to me) like there is enough sonic difference (between the two) to justify having both. Just wondering what your thoughts were. No worries. Cheers.
