I need to pick just one of my 5000 synth VSTs and stick with it to learn how to properly program it and then use it. I have $500 Omnisphere all the way down to free Synth1, all of them suitable candidates. So little time so many to choose from aaaaughh!

Maybe if I buy MOAR!

I am ending this month with good news (for me at least). My Polivoks is back from repair and fully working. Thanks for helping me keeping my head calm, slutz Means a lot. Otherwise it would have been on a ship back to Ukraine now.

...and it sounds stunning. Reminds me a little of the tone from my former JP4 but more dirty and radioactive.

congrats!
that's a common problem with build quality of Soviet gear.
it was made of bomb-proof components, but full of problems like poorly made connections (which i believe happened to your Поливокс too).

About 249 Euro, but I split the bill with the seller. It was a mess in the lower key contacts + some mess with the midi wires too. Technican said it looked "violent", as if it had been dropped during transport. Anyway, I am very relieved now. Question is how Altair 231 will arrive now. At least I have a technician now if it is a mess too.

Still waiting on My ob-6 module... Sequential didn't seem to have any in stock, estimated delivery middle of dec apparently. I'm guessing they have their hands full with the rev 4...

So, this month I bought:

- Cubase Pro 11 (upgrade, I already wrote about that)
- CableGuys ShaperBox (upgraded from TimeShaper)
- SE-02 editor 2.0 (I can't really use that synth without the editor...)
- Fabfilter Pro-Q 3 (I needed a serious eq)
- Waves CLA Epic: while I have more than enough reverbs, I don't mind getting another flavour, especially at a nice intro price and if, hopefully, it can provide good results quickly
- Samples From Mars 2020 (I already had all the previous packs)
- GoldBaby HotPot EP1 (I can never have enough drums)
- Wave Alchemy Drum Tools 02 (see previous line! )
- a 2TB ssd (so now my pc will have a total of 4TB of space... this drive will be for projects, recordings... hopefully, I won't run out of space anytime soon - unless I keep on buying drum samples )
- an iLok 3 (I received a free H9 series plugin license because I have a H9 Max and I prefer iLok activation to hard drive or cloud licensing... I already have all the H9 singles on my 2nd generation iLok, so I think it's time to sort my licenses on two different keys and make that second setup a reality )
- Beato Book 4.0. Because I need stop spending time on gear and start study music instead...

(there's no way I'll stop spending most of my time on music gear/technology )

I also built a cv controller with components I already had at home... I based my work on the "DC level shifter" and "interfacing with MFOS" articles at MFOS website. The SE-02 Ext Box was an inspiration for my project, but I needed something more flexible for cv, because I wanted to be able to sequence the filter cutoff from an external sequencer while retaining the ability to control the cutoff frequency with a cv knob... and of course I wanted the maximum voltage to be limited!
I built a small box with 3x cv knobs and 3x cv inputs (so each input is mixed with a cv knob), a trigger button and a gate on/off switch (because it can be useful on a box like this).

Not a bad month...

No worries, there will be plenty of hardware to replace it. My Slut Card is secure
