Ah synth, here we go again

edit: My biggest desire is to see new and improved versions of the AIRA EFX (Demora, Scooper, Bitrazer, Torcido, etc).

They kind of missed their mark (power hungry and huge inside a rack, line-level unfriendly outside of a rack, unclear presentation) but the tech and idea still has huge potential, and the AIRA range could use some dedicated effects units.

looking forward to Korg’s FM tease: OpSix

hopefully with an abundance of sliders & knobs
and available as module/desktop format in addition to the keyboard version.

want: Sequential Pro3 desktop module

I have the Pro2, and like to get the Pro3 as well, but don’t need the keys.
a Pro12 desktop interface suffices, but with 16 buttons for the sequencer.

want 1~ realistic: new product from Elektron that combines Digitone + Digitak in a one single box of the same size, where users have the ability to select the engine on each track.

i.e. 8 tracks of FM, or 8 Tracks of Sample Playback , or any combination of them

with the addition of a dedicated FM Drum/Percussion engine as one used in Model: Cycles

want 2 ~ unrealistic: a new flagship product that has a general sequencer interface, but combines the engines of Rytm, A4, Digitone, and Octatrack, Cycles, even Heat
so in essence Elektron provides the Hardware Interface and the Synth Engines but allows the users to do what they want with it.
with an FX engine that can be updated continuously with new effects.

product: Elektron One
the Elektron Legacy in a Box!
x# tracks of general FM engine ~ Digitone
x# tracks of FM percussion ~ Cycles
x# tracks of Sampling ~ Octatrack
x# tracks of Sample Playback~Digitak
x# tracks of Analog Mono ~ A4
x# tracks of Analog Drums ~ Rytm
x# tracks of 8-bit / chiptunes ~ SIDstation/MD

I love these boxes, they’re compact and packed with features, but the physical hardware becomes redundant, and take more space than it should.

add a much bigger screen and 8 faders/sliders that can be used for various functions like volume control or FM ratios etc.

I agree that from a sales/business standpoint this likely will not be a wise move. but I want it!

I believe that Beh army will make like last year, flooding the Namm thread with advertisements and posts even if Beh was not present on Namm.

want: an RME audio interface that sits in a class between BabyFace and UFX

don’t need MADI or all that format conversion. just basic 8 channel analog Line in/out (+ 5pin MIDI interface); something like Motu’s 24i/o offering.

and please put all i/o ports in the back (+ D-SUB ports), or the option to use either (input ports from front or back).

the way the ports are located in BabyFace with cables protruding from every direction, is something that keeps me from getting it.

I think the next 2 years we will be seeing the big players put out modern Grooveboxs. More groove than you can fit an oversized box.

It's not a prediction, Ess, the Programmer from Elektron has left Elektron and this NAMM will announce the

Digizoo

It's 64 stereo out pair 256 voice Polyphonic Modal Synthesis Kazoo sequencer. All your favourites and a few rare Kazoos in there are, it's going to be HUGE

I'm taking pre-orders personally, 20,000,0000 earth units each. Send me your units and get ahead of the crowd.
