Korg has been big on announcements this year, but short on Volca announcements. Perhaps we'll see some Volcas. Still would love to see a redo of the DVP-1 into a Volca format.
Pittsburgh Modular comes out with a new semi-modular that incorporates some tech from their last few modules.
Would love to see a Dreadbox Abyss v2...
Honestly, there is so much that came out this year that I want to get my hands on... My big ticket item I am saving for is the new Prophet, and the Pulsar-23 and WaveState interest me, as well as the Dreadbox Chromatic series. I can live without having anything else added to my want list for now...
BTW, since they are going all virtual, who took in SuperBooth? I took in a bit and thought it actually went pretty well. I could find reviews/demonstrations of just about everything of interest to me. I think the hardest thing was discovering new vendors unless they showed up via a super well-known reviewer.
That gave me a good bar to gauge interest in virtually attending this...
Since it looks like Akai is working for 3.0 on Mpc, they might release it at Namm.
And also since they upgraded Live to Live2, maybe they might also upgrade X and release it with 3.0 at Namm.
Wild speculations, of course.
I thought it was detuned intentionally? (Why put that under the player's control..?)
Sadly, I miss the days of the AX80 and friends. They made some good stuff back in the day. But I can't seem to get into the MPCs and those little synths just missed the mark IMHO.
I'd like a volca version of the NTS-1. Make it poly, keep the external in, flesh out the arp and chord aspects. Give the box adjustable RGB LEDs and printable overlay templates so that you can easily customise it
