I don't think of myself as an influencer. I'm just a guy who bought a synth and has a YouTube channel. My story is my own. FWIW, I think it sounds wonderful. YMMV.

I am impressed by this demo so far.If I had watched this demo some months ago I would have bought this one instead of a Prophet-6.Next time maybe...

I'm itchin' to get my hands on one. Every time I listen to the demos, I'm blown away by the low end. It's impressive, it reminds me of the Modal 008 for the rich bass sounds.

I don't need the extra voices because I will use the synth not as a keyboard or a piano.. my mindset is 6 great voices are better then 16 good one.

but the summit is still tempting because of all those modulation goodness. the only "downside" is, that its part digital... and I had some bad experiences with modulating digital synth because at some point you will start to hear some aliasing... but maybe its not the case with the peak/summit... so I think if I would go the "modulation" route then I would go with the Polybrute because of that...

But my main interest is still the classic, epic synth sound... I love the Juno 60 for example... so I think I'll go with the Prophet
No aliasing on the Summit, it runs at 20MHz sampling rate. At that speed, it is nearly continuous time for all practical purposes. I have one, it's great.

That's interesting... I have a 008... must try comparing it specifically

Not heard any aliasing in the summit as the resolution of the oscillators is super high. The main gripe at present is artefacts when modulating delay times; a bug that still hasn’t been addressed.

I’m an influencer. Did anyone notify Arturia? Many people hang on my every word. Someone should definitely expedite my order so I can get to my influencing.

Are the Polybrutes available all over Europe and North America now ? There's a lot more videos coming through now, so I'm guessing the lockdown pressures may be loosening up a bit.

Unfortunately not yet. The first of the preorders hav shipped, but they have a long way to go. I can’t speak for Europe, but I’m in the USA and ordered on Oct 12 and haven’t heard anything yet.

I had an email from Andertons saying their shipment is slated to arrive on 05/03. As they are uk based i’m hoping that means Friday 5th March rather than Monday 3rd May!

I spoke to Sweetwater last week and they received their first shipment and have started filling pre-orders. Not sure how many people are ahead of me but was told I'm looking at sometime in March to receive mine.

Sorry for asking again but does anyone know if there is an roadmap or idea for multiple tunings/scala imports? This is such a beauty but like the matrixbrute if it's stuck in western scales I feel like it's a bit stunted as a real life instrument for real life people in the real life world that has musical applications beyond c major...

That’s good news, could be here in a week! When did you order?

With some math you can accomplish a bit by mapping the key to the pitch, and then also doing some recursive mapping of the key to the amount of key modulation to the pitch - It would be a huge pain in the ass, but technically possible to expose some more “exotic” intervals/scales.

I’d love to see different scales too though, as well as different scales for the pitch modulation quantization (e.g. tritones). We’ll see what happens.

(Short answer, I don’t think there is)

I believe it was during the last week of January 2021.

If it arrives less than a week that'd be great. I'm not holding my breath though due to COVID slowdowns. Overseas shipping, Customs, availability of personnel, etc.

Woohoo! PolyBrute landed today!

I spent a bit acclimating myself to interface and doing some technical tests for voice modeling, then programmed a patch inspired by Vangelis Blade Runner theme:

I've uploaded it here if you want to download it:
https://www.presetpatch.com/synth/arturia-polybrute

This synth is going to be amazing for replicating classic CS and MemoryMoog type of sounds, and with all the modulation capabilities, it will explore many new worlds. Definitely looking forward to spending time on this spaceship.

Polybrute is perhaps the last of the great analog polys that will ever be produced How would you rate it compared to this benchmark Alesis A6 Andromeda

Exactly the same here. I just cancelled mine - I'll wait until someone actually has one in stock. Really not happy Bax taking money in advance. I could stand that when they said 2 weeks delivery in December but they are taking the p155 now.

No rush.

Yeah its getting ridiculous.
Also actively looking for another supplier now. If I find a better option I'll be cancelling Bax as well.
