Bass recording in Ableton to capture effects pedals

Hi guys so apologies for the impending idotic questions. I'm looking to start using ableton for recording some bass for some electronic music. I have a tonne of effects pedals I would like to use but unsure what the best way would be to record them (if at all).

I have a GK fusion 550 bass head and an amp, a focusrite 2i2 and also a mxr m80 di box and a tonne of pedals (no reamp though).

I'm new to this but I understand there are several ways I can go about doing this but want to understand the best way to go about it without breaking stuff!

Thanks
