i still don't understand this Headphones thing and need your help please:

For my headphones (DENON D9200) i want to order those cables

to use the DENONs on a 4,4mm symmetric connection of a DAP.


Is this working? I mean, can ANY headphone (with replacable cable) can be used with a symmetric/balanced cable? Or do they have to get modded for that use?

Can i damage the headphones with such a balanced cable, if the headphone is not explicitly designed for symmetric/balanced use?

i know there is a lot of technical articles on this subject (balanced/unbalanced seems to be something different again than single-ended/double-ended etc) , but for a non-tech like me a simple explanation would be great

There are symmetric outputs for headphones and not-symmetric ones.
For the symmetric outputs you need symmetric cables.

But do you also need headphones which are designed for symmetric use
or can any headphone be used with a symmetric cable?
Or is there any risk of damage?
