Synthmaster one if you gave 2.9

Hi Guys,

Is there any point in Synthmaster One if you already have 2.9?

I'm just wondering as they gave a crossgrade for $12 at the moment.

The voice allocation works properly in Synthmaster One :-)

Seriously, in SM2.9 (and also in previous versions), the voice allocator will re-allocate the last played voice when it runs out of voices.

In SMOne, it will re-allocate the oldest voice (like most synths do).

This is especially noticeable with long amp release times (and it is something I find very annoying in an otherwise fine synth !)

Besides, I like (prefer) the simplicity of SMOne.
With 2oscs, 2subs, 2 filters, 4envs, 2lfos, and a 12 slot mod matrix it is complex enough for most patches, anyway.
Well worth the $12 upgrade in my opinion.

SM One is a much more simple version of 2.9, having just a single layer. The main synthmaster has two layers plus much more.

Its definitely not a bad thing that its easier to make patches on its more basic interface. I don’t like the envelopes on SM One though. The scaling of ADSR times and curvature seems very strange to me. Also I have a really hard time getting the glide time to work for me.

Its really cheap so why not? The synthmaster lineup as a whole, has the best sounding audio rate mod I’ve heard in any software.

I have both and prefer synthmaster one because your working with one screen and its easier too work with.
The blackfriday prices are brilliant and a no brainer really.. If you are upgrading check out plugin boutique they have it on there and you'll get a izotope freebie too.
