Yamaha A4000 effects not working

Hi all,

I just got a A4000 sampler.
I've messed around a bit now with it, but I can't get the effects working.

The manual isn't much of a help.

The only effect that actually does something is the vinyl record noise.
When that one is chosen I hear the record noise over my sample.

But none of the other effects are affecting my sound.

I've upgraded the OS to 1.5.

Am I missing some basic parameter that turns the effect Engine on ?
under "Utility/system" there is a parameter for the audition key to turn effects on or off, that on is set to on.

best regards
niklas

Are you sure the effects are set up in the output routing ?
Also check the dry/wet parameter for each effect

the strange thing is that if i route the effect to let's say digital out.
It still sounds unaffected on the stereoout.

I don't even have a digital out.
It doesn't matter what output i choose.

I checked the dry/wet option, nothing happens.

And if you choose effect as output in the routing page ?
Something tells me you are probably just routing through 1 effect block ( vinyl one )

p.s. It has been a long time since I have put on my a 4000 and atm I missing a powercable to do so

Maybe upload a picture of the effects page and the output routing page
