Still 4 voices on JU-06A.

Xm seems quite interesting, on the other hand! Sort of like a condensed version of JP-80/Integra?

More choice is better and sometimes companies need a kick in the rear to do the right thing.

Jupiter X coming early 2020

This from Roland:

JUPITER-X
Iconic synthesizer with legendary sound and design.

The 61-key JUPITER-X is the peak of Roland sound quality and design. Its all-metal build uses premium materials throughout, and the all-new aftertouch-enabled keyboard is the best we’ve ever made. A familiar layout and large array of controls let you dig in and easily shape your sounds, whether you’re composing in the studio or performing on stage.

Big and beautiful.

JUPITER-X has a classic and expansive control layout that’s immediately familiar. The extended controls are large and comfortable while the big RGB lit buttons give assurance in dimly lit studios and stages. The aftertouch enabled 61-note keyboard is a dream to play with just the right amount of weight to handle anything from electric pianos to face-melting leads.

This is my first "Roland release" since I got into synths (got into the hobby after the JD-Xa/System 8 release).

I gotta say man....I'm not overly impressed. A few things really stand out and look nice...but Hydra and Minilogue XD was a lot more exciting for me than this collection.

I'll give it some more time. Nothing here has killed my GAS for a System-8 though. Maybe the Jupiter-X? Perhaps that, but I was playing my JD-Xi earlier today...it's such. good synth. Nothing here makes me want to replace it...

dude i was bowled over the by the XM looks and sound BUT 1500 for a 3octave digital is pushing it a bit more than i can take

the 707 is interesting to me, a proper groovebox and looks a right good crack even if a bit of a eww design

i do wish they would start a new namesake though

Ridiculous, isn't it. And once you get into polychaining, there are other synths that enter the price range. Never going to buy a four voice Juno Boutique.

whoever is designing these things needs to be fired. what is this ? jupiter thing looks like a prototype and the 707 looks like they stuck a bunch of crap together. i like all the stuff soundwise but the pricing is a bit crazy. like jamie said, 1500 for 3 octave slim keys digital is a bit pushing it. but not as much as the 707. why is it 300 euro more than the tr8s? i get it does a lot more but at that price there's a few other options out there

Wait a minute.. Wasn't there already a JU-06 though?? The Xm might be kinda neat, too bad they HAD to throw in all the drum kits and go the workstation angle, but I guess if you live in the Earth's core and dont already have a set of 808/909/707 samples its handy heh. Roland's flagship stuff just goes over my head usually but gotta hear these so called 'Jupiters' first.

I'm sold on the dual mini Juno, I held out on the boutiques and missed the og but use the cloud one a lot.

I would have liked to see a boutique jx8p, that would have got my interest, nice soft sound to compliment their other stuff, but they put it in the Jupiter and as someone said, it's quite pricey! 2 grand for the big one

Quite crazy that they can only get four voices with the acb tech and then however many in the Jupiter X

Juno 06a seems quite useful in my studio, for my kind of music. The other new announcements not so.
I just wonder why any Roland announcement is immediately followed by the start of a negative thread? It's like not even occasional, it's every time.
Is this happening to Korg, Behringer, or Oberheim?

There are literally hundreds of products announced every month I don't like or have no interest in. If everyone started threads complaining about gear they didn't like Gearslutz would be even more unusable than it already is.....
