Mackie CR1604 vs Mackie CR1604vlz

I'm currently looking for a new/first mixer to pair wit a newly ordered RD-8 (You may have seen me clogging up the RD-8 thread earlier today )

I know about the reputation of the old Mackie CR1604 mixers and have always kept an eye out for one and it just so happens that now i'm ready to seriously purchase a mixer, there's a CR1604 for sale locally. BUT it's "Mackie CR1604VLZ"

Did the CR1604vlz have the same summing mojo as the straight CR1604?

I had the cr1604vlz from 1997-2006. Sold it because I thought it was to big at the time. My actual got mold inside from being in a basement. 3 channels got static/noise that’s why I opened it up. Bought it for $899 and sold it for $200. I did disclose the mold and static to the new buyer.
